Bukit Extending from Jl. Raja Chulan, Jl.Imbi and Jl. Pudu over to Jl. Sultan Ismail up to Jl. Ampang the Golden Triangle covers a good portion of Kuala Lumpur. That said there are two distinct areas within the Golden Triangle - KLCC and Bukit Bintang.
KLCC - Kuala Lumpur City Centre with the now famous Petronas Towers anchoring the area has become the new commercial centre of KL. There has been a quite a lot of development in the area recently and now most of Kuala Lumpur's skyscrapers, 5 star hotels, office buildings, banks, luxury apartments, upscale shopping and dining can be found here.
That and the fact that it is nicely laid out with very good transportation facilities that make it easy to get about makes the Golden Triangle a favourite area for leisure visitors as well as business travelers. Hotels in this area are usually large 5 star deluxe properties affiliated with an international chain.
Bukit Bintang. A part of the Golden Triangle but really more of a neighbourhood Bukit Bintang is an older area that has undergone gentrification and come away as both historical and chic at the same time. Hotels in Bukit Bintang tend to be local owned and managed. Some are older upscale hotels that have been nicely renovated while others are newer chic boutique hotels catering to image conscious travelers. Either way there is something for everyone in Bukit Bintang.
FYI, in order to remain objective, hotels are listed alphabetically. We don't favor any hotel for any reason.
